Refund Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
We want you to be happy with Threadbound. If it isn't right for you, you can have your money back.
Who processes your refund
Threadbound is sold through Stripe, our merchant of record. Your receipt names the seller as Link, LLC (Stripe's checkout service), and the charge on your bank or card statement will appear as LINK.COM* Threadbound or simply Link, depending on your bank, not our company name. Link took your payment, so refunds are paid back through Stripe to the payment method you used. We approve every refund request made within 14 days.
The 14-day refund
- You have 14 days from the date of purchase to ask for a refund of the full amount you paid, tax included, for any reason.
- There's a 7-day free trial before you buy, so we'd love you to use it. But a refund doesn't depend on it: if you buy and change your mind, ask.
- This applies to purchases made with a discount too. You get back what you paid.
How to ask
- Email us at threadboundapp@pm.me from the address you bought with, and give your order reference (it's on the page you land on after paying and in your license email). We'll approve and issue the refund through Stripe, usually within one working day.
- If you created a Link account when you paid, you can also manage your order and contact support at link.com. Stripe sends us each request for approval, and we respond within 48 hours.
When the refund is issued, Link emails you to confirm it. The money normally reaches you within 5–10 working days after that, depending on your bank or card issuer.
What happens to the app
A refunded license stops working. The next time Threadbound is online it checks your license (it does this about once a week) and, if the license was refunded, switches to read-only. You will never lose access to your writing: every project stays viewable, and export, backup (including Google Drive backup) and restore keep working, so you can take everything with you. See the Terms for how licenses and read-only mode work.
After 14 days
We'll always consider a request made after 14 days, for example if the app didn't work as described on your device and we couldn't fix it. Nothing here limits your legal rights: if Threadbound has a fault, or isn't as described, consumer protection law, including the Australian Consumer Law and consumer rights in the UK and EU, may entitle you to a remedy at any time, and that applies on top of this policy.
Chargebacks and fraud
Please ask us or Stripe for a refund before disputing a payment with your bank, as it's quicker. A payment reversed through a chargeback, or a purchase made with a stolen payment method, is treated as a refund: the license stops working and the app becomes read-only, with your data still exportable.
